'Breaking the Cycle' Consultation ClosesPosted by Jeremy Whittle on March 07th, 2011 ![]() The Government's 'Breaking the Cycle' consultation launched in December 2010 has now closed. The Government reports that they have received over 1200 responses. Setting out plans to break the destructive cycle of crime, the Green Paper aims to make prisons places of 'hard work'. It also aims to deliver more constructive community sentenses, improving rehabilitation by inviting innovative solutions from the private and voluntary sectors. A Government response is expected later in the year. |
